SEEDLINGS CLASS TEACHERS
Shyla Layugan was born and raised in Honolulu. She received her A.A. in Early Childhood Education from Honolulu Community College and worked at Kainalu Elementary School in Kailua before joining Sunshine School in 2008. She appreciates the school's emphasis on instilling life skills to young children with love and support. Shyla loves going to the beach, doing Zumba, and spending time with her loved ones.
Dominique “Nikki” Nakamura was born and raised on Maui. Nikki loves watching kids grow and appreciates how their spontaneity and innocent perspectives can surprise and charm. In her free time, she likes to draw, listen to music, and write poetry.
